Mackay Regional Council Foyer

Mackay Regional Council approached BOLD Architecture to assist with the refurbishment of their foyer. A new layout was designed and the existing joinery was removed. A mainly monochromatic palette of charcoal and white created a fresh, modern look and it contrasted well with the vibrant blue backdrop. Lit from above, new crisp white signage stands out well on the blue. Glass dividers were installed to create the different sales areas on the seamless white benchtop. The charcoal base of the joinery wraps up and around to form a space for customer brochures and a desk to fill out forms.
It looks amazing! Great job. I used to work in that Council building and haven’t been in there really in the eight years since I left. I was blown away when i walked in the other day. I used to think how that entrance poorly reflected a modern, dynamic, progressive organisation, and now it definitely does!
